Udderlicious (Covent Garden)

Located in a perfectly positioned spot for ice cream lovers who readily frequent Soho and Covent Garden (and all things central), this second outlet of Islington's Udderlicious (which opened October 2013) is the real deal: unpretentious home-made ice cream made with quality British and Euro ingredients, served up in a nice, friendly and airy atmosphere and space that includes a swinging bench. This is the domain of a husband and wife who both are named Raj (one male and one female). Their excellent product is produced in an Italian gelato machine but is made much more like good old-fashioned conventional ice cream (ie higher cream content and less sugar), with all the traditional welcomed flavours alongside unique concoctions suggested by customers, many of which have joined the permanent repertoire following a month's trial and a successful sway with the voting general public. Opened May 2016 in a quaint corner shop occupied for many years by Portwine butchers, immediately off Seven Dials in Covent Garden. Nearly 'everything' is located nearby.
