Club Quarters Hotel St Paul's

What do you think of this place? Love it or not?
Affordable accommodation in the City of London
A reliable, basic, no-frills 265-room hotel with clean modern rooms and inexpensive rates, made all the cheaper if you have a Club Quarters membership. Located in the historic City of London (as opposed to the West End — central London's main culture/entertainment/shopping/food area). Within easy reach of Soho via buses and tube, the hotel is nevertheless steps away from great architecture including Christopher Wren's St Stephen's Wallbrook (considered his masterwork) and his signature St Paul's Cathedral, plus Nicholas Hawksmoor's St Mary Woolnoth, Richard Rogers's ultra-fun Lloyd's (1986), Norman Foster's 30 St Mary Axe (aka the Gherkin) and neighbouring Victorian Leadenhall Market. Slightly further east are Whitechapel [see Gallery entry] and atmospheric Spitalfields, where landmarks include Hawksmoor's Christ Church, olde-worlde Fournier and Princelet Streets, Brick Lane (Bengladeshi food and trendy art scene), Dennis Severs' House and restaurant St John Bread & Wine [see entry].
