Point A Hotel London Liverpool Street Formerly: Tune Hotel – Liverpool Street, London

What do you think of this place? Love it or not?
Bargain accommodation in the thick of trendiness
Clean and reliable 183-room outlet of the Malaysian-based chain that also has hotels in Kings Cross, Westminster, Paddington and, since July, Kensington. Opened in November 2011, this location is situated at the gateway to Spitalfields, Hoxton and Shoreditch, with equally on-the-pulse Dalston not too far to the north. Point A hotels (formerly Tune, then a name change in March 2017) are as basic as it gets without being dreary, though several rooms come without windows. Rock-bottom price in 2019 = £48. Immediately across the street, and not without gay appeal, is Dennis Severs' House [see entry] — an elaborately decorated time-capsule residence created and formerly lived in by gay Californian-turned-Londoner Dennis Severs (1948–99). Tube station: Liverpool Street.
