Heal's

Sitting regally among a stretch of home-goods stores in Tottenham Court Road, Heal's remains a calm and classy enterprise which historically has been a springboard for new designers. Started in 1810 but occupying its present elegant premises since 1911, Heal's is reliable not just for furniture, fitted kitchens, fabrics and bed linen, but also gift-type items. Sadly its longtime (and compatible) neighbour Habitat did not survive the 2020/21 pandemic. In 2023 Heal's plans to evacuate its first and second floors, with contents to be shifted to the neighbouring ground and basement floors previously occupied by Habitat. There's also a branch of Heal's in Westfield White City shopping mall and an outlet store in King's Rd store in Chelsea. Just a seven-minute walk north of Oxford St. Tube stations: Goodge Street and Warren Street.
