London’s number-one camp comedy sketch troupe the Sex Shells are here to flame on your parade in their bigger-than-ever XL show. With satirical rewrites of songs from all your favourite musicals, pop & Disney princesses, and indie bands, plus sketches featuring everything from David Attenborough’s take on the common homosexual to talking cigarettes, the Shells refract the gay world in a filthy rainbow of anarchic spectacle.
After a year of sell-out shows at the Glory and the Shacklewell Arms, the Brighton Fringe, and performances everywhere from Latitude Festival to Channel Islands Pride, the Sex Shells are about to get super-sized.
Twinks, bears, and check-out machines – Grindr, chemsex, singing cows – lost baggies, northern aunties, Lana Del Rey – comedowns, putdowns, masc4masc. The Sex Shells XL features some of our best-loved material alongside BRAND NEW ORIGINAL MUSIC, stunning set and costumes, and lashings of new musical perversions (Abba medley anyone?).
