“The international art-pop vanguard.” – Art Forum
An uncanny trip into a world of paranoia and personae, GEIST is a new multimedia theatre piece, from La JohnJoseph. Part Film Noir, part pop concert, GEIST is beguiling mixture of video, interview, and original music, centred on the nebulous figure of Alexander Geist. Mixing rock documentary tropes with youtube conspiracy theories, GEIST investigates the death of an icon, exposing ruthless ambition, excess, and the cost of deceit.
“Remember the name well, [Alexander Geist] is making a big noise.” – Star Magazine
