Venues include Vauxhall hot spots Fire and Royal Vauxhall Tavern, plus Elektrowerkz, the Steel Yard and, for the very last time, The Backstreet (closes its doors on 17 July). This year's roster features nine official public events, including its heaving and sweaty Saturday night centrepiece party, staged for the first time at Colour Factory in east London’s Hackney Wick.
Sat 9 July: WALK WITH RECON FOR PRIDE IN LONDON (11am–5pm) Once again, Recon will be walking in the parade for Pride in London, joined by its members, preferably in gear. There’s a limited number of wristbands, so Recon ask that you have every intention of walking in the parade before applying. Details on how to apply will be posted on recon.com. Parade route TBA. Wed 13 July: MASTERCLASS (7pm–12 midnight, The Steel Yard, Embankment) A series of open discussions covering topics around the “reality of submission” and “real clear fetish”. Plus the fetish of ABDL (Adult Baby Diaper Lover) and the concept “where fetish meets queer”. Whether you’re new to the scene, or been at it for years, there’s something to learn.
