Vue West End (Leicester Square)

(1 Rating)
Comfy West End movie multiplex

This nine-theatre cinema in the northeast corner of Leicester Square pales in comparison with the neighbouring Odeon and Empire in terms of size, but the quality of the scale, projection and seating on offer in its two biggest theatres — screens 5 [where BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN debuted in the UK] and 7 — makes for a rather fine experience (though not quite as pleasing since the arguably unnecessary 2017 refurbishment]. And as of 2022, tickets at this previously very pricey cinema cost just £10.99 (£9.99 online). Also recommended are digital-only Vue cinemas inside London's two biggest malls: Westfield London and Westfield Stratford [see entries].
