In its annual Pride in London show, Take Me Home Projects presents The Lady: a night of gender queer performance.
This years focuses on celebrating the female. Their influence in world of cabaret and drag by putting forward a balanced variety of acts that showcase women and perceptions of femininity. We use Pride as a time to point out and rejoice in hurdles overcome by the queer community in recent decades, however without the early feminist movements this would never have occurred and therefore making it more important to welcome and celebrate those who have already done so much. We are proud this year to support Art Sister hood UK-an Arts & Mental Health organisation that offers women and non-binary people affordable art therapy classes across the UK.
Held in Miranda – the basement bar of Ace Hotel in Shoreditch – the night will showcase some of London’s brightest up and coming cabaret stars. A warm up laugh riot in preparation for the next day’s Pride March.
Acts include:
Bella & The Lordwarfs
Joe Sutherland
Vicky Samuel
and hosts Lavender Muff & DOSA
Early Bird Tickets £6.00
