Hoppers (Soho)

No ratings yet
A Sri Lankan must

Consistently yummy food celebrating Tamil and South India flavours and textures, with a modern twist. Staples include karis (Tamil for curry) and two exquisite Asian variations on a crêpe: dosas (dark, golden and crisp) and hoppers (off-white, crisp and also near-imperceptibly spongey). Opened February 2016. Queues are inevitable and ridiculous, so leave your name and number and have a drink elsewhere (recommended: basement Greek St bar Trisha's [see entry]). Second location at St Christopher's Place (77 Wigmore St, Marylebone), with Kings Cross since February 2020. Located a half-minute north of Old Compton St. Closed Sunday.
