Casa Tua (Kings Cross)

Very popular and local-feeling Italian corner hot spot, overseen by the über-hospitable Giuseppe Miggiano, who in 2009 arrived in London with recipes from his native Nociglia, near Puglia – the spiky boot heel of the Italian south. Emphasis here is on home-made pastas and sauces – with a particularly fine signature carbonara – and sharing platters, plus a strong wine list to give it that genuine enoteca feel. Coffee and home-made pastries round out the fine experience. Breakfast is also a thing here. Opened in 2016, three years after the first Casa Tua, still at 176 Royal College St, Camden Town, near Camden Road overground station. The name translates as 'your home'. Located on a rather quiet side street just south of the Euston Rd in what is technically Bloomsbury. The gorgeous Victorian St Pancras Hotel is just round the corner, as is the British Library.
