Capricci

(2 Ratings)
Buon gusto Italiano

A small but airy deli-restaurant lined with shelves of top-quality and pricey Italian products and wines, and featuring eight or so tables where you can sit and enjoy exemplary Italian dishes from a weekly changing menu (veal, rabbit, white beans, gnocchi, bresaola, ravioli, anchovies ricotta, Luganega sausage, pumpkin, rustic, fine, cured), prepared in a tiny and open kitchen. Opened in October 2015 by two experienced food-loving men with several shops in northern Italy. This is their first venture into sit-down dining. A cliché yes, but this does feel quite authentic. Not cheap, but it tastes real and yummy. Located directed opposite Tate Modern. Tube stations: Blackfriars (then a five-minute walk over the Thames) and Southwark.

Has to be the finest food companion to Tate Modern.
