Expertly prepared beef, venison and fish dishes in a stylishly manly two-floor space (leather, wood and antlers) in Fitzrovia, just north of Soho, opened in August 2015 by three young Scottish guys with Highlands connections: Callum, Adam and Andy, whose butcher parents supply the top-quality meat. Mac & Wild gets all the detail right, with an emphasis on flavours and innovation (and sourced steaks and venison). The yummy burger is part-beef part-venison, topped with a béarnaise sauce. You'd be hard-pressed not to find a beardy carnivore here. In short, hunter-gatherer par excellence. Started as a pop-up (Wild Game Co) in nearby Charlotte St. Tube stations: Oxford Circus and Goodge Street. Plus a second branch near Liverpool Street (9A Devonshire Square).
