Wahaca (Covent Garden)

Mexican street food à la Londres

An ethical London-wide Mexican chain overseen by chef Thomasina 'Tommi' Miers, who co-founded the (ever expanding) business in 2007 at this location in Covent Garden. Featuring tapas-style dishes that lack the full-plated heartiness normally associated with a Mexican meal, but which compensate with excellent and fresh flavours and cooking. Tacos recommended. Even the nachos are home-made. In June 2017 Miers stated that in future the menu will be "more experimental". Their many locations now include Oxford Circus (26–28 Great Portland St), Shoreditch, Islington, Brixtonand Waterloo. Sadly the Soho Wardour St branch did not survive the pandemic.
