Central Station Hotel

Gay lodgings in Kings Cross

In 1991 Duncan Irvine and Martin Mason opened the gay bar Central Station [see entry] — now the one surviving gay outlet in increasingly less seedy Kings Cross — and 20 years later reinvented the floors above as a B&B with seven rooms to rent: three doubles with en suite bathroom; one small double with separate bathroom; and three singles with shared bathroom, all in a traditional style. Just a few minutes' walk from King's Cross station, with relatively new developments Granary Square and Coal Drops Yard (and Waitrose supermarket) providing numerous high-quality consumer outlets just five minutes away.
