St Martins Lane

(2 Ratings)
Conspicuously stylish hotel close to everything

Like its sibling the Sanderson [see entry], this is an ultra-trendy, stylish and playfully designed Ian Schrager/Philippe Starck enterprise. The Dalí-inspired foyer gives you a good idea of what's on offer, though the minimalist rooms might come as a surprise to those expecting something akin to PEE-WEE'S PLAYHOUSE. Also on the premises are not one or two but several dining and drinking options. Under the hotel is a well-equipped outlet of the small Gymbox chain in a space previously occupied by London's much-missed Lumiere art cinema. Located just north of Trafalgar Square, just east of Leicester Square, just west of Covent Garden and just southeast of Soho.
