Launching At G-A-Y Her Debut Solo Single "Home Run"
When Misha Bryan strode out on to the X Factor stage for
the first of last season's live shows, the superiority of her star
quality was immediately and undeniably apparent. Clad in a wire-frame crown and a dress made out of newspapers, she delivered a supremely confident snap at Adele's "Rolling In The Deep" - making one of 2011's most ubiquitous songs entirely, unmistakably her own. It was a bold, arresting introduction to a woman now ready to take up the mantle of amazing pop star.
In truth, Misha B seemed ready from the minute we laid eyes on her. She emerged on to the X Factor stage with the presence of a fully-fledged artist, not a raw talent show ingnue.
While on the X Factor, that experience famously provided a bonding moment between Misha and her mentor, ex-Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland
It's part and parcel of the ongoing voyage of self-discovery that is Misha B's life so far - and that her debut album, due this autumn, is all about.
Lead single "Home Run" is a superb example: ricocheting production fizzes and pops while Misha essays a ferociously confident vocal, sinking her teeth into the song's hooks with relish.
