The Divine Formerly: BrewDog

A naughty bar on all floors (well both), the Divine emerged on 2 February 2024 from the ashes of a bar that had shut its doors just two days before: the Glory — the influential off-the-scale-queer den of seasoned and indie-minded East London drag artist Jonny Woo and Woo's drag colleague-cum-DJ John Sizzle. Woo and Sizzle and co-owner (and TV producer) Colin Rothbart are also behind this LGBTQIA+ bar and performance venue whose basement hosts a ticketed show most evenings and a Friday/Saturday disco. Outsourced entertainment includes indie cabaret night Vroom Vroom. Sympathetic locals include VFD (Vogue Fabrics Dalston, 66 Stoke Newington Rd) and Dalston Superstore (117 Kingsland High St) [see entries].
