Gear Social (at The Duke of Wellington)

Getting into gear on a Sunday

A monthly casual get-together in which leather and rubber fetishists (with a sprinkling of neoprene, lycra and uniforms) meet upstairs at Soho's very popular corner gay pub The Duke of Welllington, located about a 20-second walk from Comptons of Soho (same brewery), home of the monthly Leather Social [see entry]. The Gear Social, started up in March 2022 by different people (members of London Leathermen), happens every third Sunday (with the Leather Social staged conveniently every first Sunday). The event has 'Social' in its title, but the subtext is sex. Who dresses up in their finest gear on a Sunday afternoon to have...a conversation?
