Circa Embankment Formerly: Opal Bar / Circa The Club

LGBTQ+ bar/club by the Thames

A big, party-minded extension of loungey Circa Soho [see entry], this two-floor 500-capacity venue (formerly Opal Bar) serves food on the ground floor, with a DJ-led dance floor in the basement. Decor = exposed brick, timber flooring and mirrored walls. Initially a Fri/Sat clubby gig, then a midweek expansion, now back to weekend-only. Friday = neo-R&B and pop; Saturday = house. Located seconds from Embankment Tube station. As you leave the station via the river exit, turn left and voilà! Debuted 8 June 2018 (and originally named Circa The Club).
