Beef and bear
Manly venture overseen by seasoned London gay mover and shaker Wayne Shires. His weekly Brüt targets "bears blokes cubs hunks" (ie updated clones, with beards, biceps and waistlines expanding on the moustaches and slim builds of the 1980s, but for the most part without the leather). Brüt first opened in February 2015, at The Steel Yard in the City, then in March 2017 shifted to Vauxhall to the "new club space" Bloc South, but that lovely seedy wet dream ended at the end of May 2019. With hardly a blip, Brüt moved next door to Union – the space previously occupied by Shires's famed Crash club — and took up residency until September 2019. Then a one-off special on 23 November 2019 at the Egg-related Cell 200 in Kings Cross (3 Vale Royal, off York Way, N7 9AX), then back to The Steel Yard on 4 January 2020. Then a 15 February 2020 warehouse party at The Cause in Tottenham Hale. The future is a sexy mystery.
