Club Kali (at Electrowerkz)

Billed as "the world's biggest LGBTQ+ community celebrating South Asian heritage with unity and pride", Club Kali is a monthly and buzzy club event where both out and closeted Queer people from London and beyond have felt safe to show their true colours since 1995, when visionaries DJ Ritu and Rita reinvented an upstairs space at first home, the Dome in Tufnell Park, north London. It's a DJ-driven night mixing Bollywood, bhangra and Arabic sounds with Western pop. Dancing, drag shows and live performances all happen here, to lively, glamorous and sometimes outrageous effect. The club has been known to move around, but in 2022 is sitting pretty – every second Friday of the month – at Electrowerkz, just round the corner from Angel Tube station.
