The Prince of Greenwich NO LONGER A GAY PUB (Closed Permanently) Formerly: The Prince of Albert

(3 Ratings)
Second of two gay Greenwich haunts
Backstreet Victorian pub that went from straight to mostly-male gay in 2011 with suitable decor lift. There's cabaret twice monthly – the first and third Friday – and the bar does drinks promotions between 4 and 8pm, including cocktails. Plus Sunday afternoon roasts and home-made food at evenings throughout the week. A five-minute walk from the area's other gay pub, The George & Dragon [see entry]. Overground and DLR: Greenwich. No longer gay as of 2015 (new management).

just a pub

I went on a Saturday night around 10pm, the pub was almost empty. I guess it's good if you're around with friends in the area... But I even would choose a nicer "straight pub". Not worthwhile going just for the sake of it.
