Little Ku Formerly: Ku Soho

Modern-day Soho institution on two rather pint-sized, intimate and sleekly decorated floors, entertaining a casual and subtly cruisy mixed but mostly male crowd since 2009 — 14 years after the birth of the original Ku in Charing Cross Rd. Located immediately south of Old Compton St — just look for one of central Soho's few rainbow flags dangling out front — with more clubby-like sibling bar Ku Bar/Klub in nearby Chinatown [see entry]. Pronounced 'kew', not 'koo'. In late January 2014 the basement space reopened as lesbian den She Soho [see entry] and in February 2014 the main bar changed its name from 'Ku Bar Frith St' to 'Ku Soho', and then in September 2018 to 'Little Ku'. Various greys and tans and a bleached wood effect defined its summer 2017 makeover.
