One of Britain's top-drawer clubs, Fabric showcases too many music genres to list! It's worth mentioning that one of its three main areas features a "body sonic" dance floor in which clubbers literally experience the bass below their feet.

Located in atmospherically olde-worlde Smithfield — in the shadow of a grand Victorian meat market — Fabric is a gay-friendly straight club, frequented in the past by Pet Shop Boys Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe.

The club closed in September 2016 following two drug-related deaths, making headlines and triggering a campaign to reverse the decision. With support from London Mayor Sadiq Khan and following council negotiations proscribing a "zero tolerance" drugs policy, Fabric was given a new lease on life, in January 2017.
