Friendly and relaxed bar in the thick of Soho

Opened in late 1991, this was the bar that added a touch of gloss to Soho's then rather low-key gay profile, spawning countless other bars and cafés, with Soho ultimately eclipsing Earl's Court as London's gay mecca. Four bars on three floors, with karaoke, cabaret and the rest. Buzzy on weekend nights. Basement dance floor, where on late Saturday night in mid-August 2024 actor Andrew Scott was spotted, in tow. Located on the corner of Wardour and Brewer Streets, at the ultimate gay crossroads. Refurbished in late 2018.

Nice friendly bar

This bar is one of the most popular London gay bars in the area. It has happy hour until 8 pm every day with house drinks at half price. It’s generally busy every night of the week so you will definitely want to come early especially on a Friday and Saturday night. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays you can enjoy great karaoke as well as disco nights on Thursday and Friday.

Wednesday hot spot

We had just arrived in London and looking to grab a drink. This place was packed! Amazing service, friendly people, and nice to look at. We will most for sure be returning.

Great scene with lots of options.

Nice mixture of options at this place. Upstairs offers a nice bar and seated lounge area for conversation and relaxing. Entry level filled with bar/bar patrons and live entertainment if you are so inclined. Basement floor offers a dance area if the desire is born. Slightly cramped due to the large number of people but good top 40 music and crowd. One of my favorite places to go in London.

Well worth a visit

Atmospheric venue on three floors. Diverse clientele including a fair sized oriental crowd (although not to the same extent as Kudos). Upstairs bar offers views straight down Old Compton Street (if you can get a seat). At the time of writing has cheap drinks promotions early evening. Open late.
