G-A-Y Bar

(407 Ratings)
Poppy pre-club video bar

Three floors of lively and camp-sympathetic atmosphere, with a decidedly up-and-coming (read young) crowd meeting up before heading out to the clubs, most probably G-A-Y Late or Heaven — the main arena for the G-A-Y enterprise [see entries]. Opened 2002. Happy Hour cheap drinks Friday  5pm–8pm. Located two doors down from restaurant Balans Soho No. 34 [see entry] and diagonally opposite lesbian bar She Soho [see entry]. Basement area no longer plays host to nightly lesbian-dominated Girls Go Down.

Cheap and cheerful

If you’re looking for a bar that has cheap drinks, top 40 music, and a good crowd of people based in the heart of London – then look no further. G-A-Y bar is situated about a 5 minute walk from Piccadilly Circus/Leicester Square Stations down Old Compton Street in the heart of Soho’s gay village. It’s a two floor bar (with surrounding dance floors) and is a pleasant place to hang out and to chill with friends.

Cool Place

I loved this place, the atmosphere is high energy, the decor is contemporary& the boys are cute. It was great to just hang and meet up w/ friends.

FUN BUT VERY YOUNG.

Had a nice time..the music was current...and the drinks were not watered down so that makes a good night for me...

Nice place

Great place for a cold cheap pint...can get a bit too crowded and loud. Have met plenty of nice people there!
