A first ever permanent home for Queer Britain, an organisation co-founded in 2018 by Joseph Galliano, dedicated to queer histories. Located just a four-minute walk behind King's Cross station, the bite-size venue features gallery spaces — contemporary artwork, photography and more — and a gift shop, with education and workshop spaces to follow. Opened May 2022 with the exhibition We Are Queen Britain to mark the 50th anniversary of the first Pride march. Directly adjacent to the museum are Central Saint Martins art school and a large Waitrose supermarket, with recommended Indian restaurant Dishoom [see entry] not far round the corner.
