Curzon Soho

Part of the high-quality Curzon cinema chain, this non-corporate-feeling arthouse-style three-screen complex is simply a very good movie house, with a bar and two cafés featuring cakes from Konditor and Cook [see entry] and free wifi. Curzon Soho programmes indie, foreign and "thinking person's" Hollywood fare, with midnight movies and, throughout the year, specialist festivals. Not too far west of here, the classy Curzon Mayfair offers an exemplary cinema-going experience. Other Curzon movie houses can be found in Mayfair and Bloomsbury (2015 renovation) [see entries], plus Victoria (opened May 2014), Aldgate (January 2017), Hoxton, Camden Town and beyond. Chelsea has been demolished and reinvented and will reopen 2022/23? Note that this building is under threat from Crossrail.
