Hauser & Wirth

(1 Rating)
Major 'very now' contemporary gallery minutes from Soho
A Zürich-based art house with top-drawer rooms in London and New York. Artists include Louise Bourgeois, Mary Heilmann, Michael Raedecker, Berlinda De Bruyckere, Ellen Gallagher, Paul McCarthy, Pipilotti Rist and Subodh Gupta, with everything from digital and interactive to conceptual. Not far from here are White Cube gallery, Fortnum & Mason department store, the Royal Academy of Arts and perhaps a bite at the Wolseley [see entries]. In 2013 H&W closed its operation at 196 Piccadilly and shifted to this location in nearby Mayfair.
