Deservedly successful small-ish London-wide chain of takeaway/sit-down establishments serving high-quality and natural 'fast food', from breakfast (bacon or mushroom baps, porridge with fruit or granola etc) to lunch and beyond (hummus, baked beans, chicken with aioli, chilli, Moroccan meatballs, Cajun crayfish salad, falafel, hot grilled chorizo etc). Sufficiently tasty and inexpensive. This Soho branch opened March 2011 right at the nucleus of gay Soho. Located at the top of Carnaby St in the shadow of prized store Liberty [see entry]. Other branches include nearby Regent St, Strand, Bankside (spitting distance of Tate Modern), Spitalfields (atmospheric East London) and Canary Wharf (finance centre and home of London's tallest building). Sadly the Old Compton St branch, which opened in 2011 and provided convenient sit-down views of passersby, closed in April 2013.

they forgot about my order...Took a while ordering at the counter. Instantly brought me my spiked lemonade w very little ice. I waited nearly 30 minutes for my 'fast food' salad that came in a box. Luckily, they apologized after I asked about my order. And brought me another complimentary cocktail. The street view was fun. The food good. Cheap prices. They may have to rethink how they seat and serve people, however...don't call yourself fast if the lines of communication keep breaking. -

Good quality fast food; excellent for people watching on Old Compton StLeon is a small chain of fast food restaurants in London. However, don't let the word fast food put you off. Leon offers a heathly range of good quality breakfasts, hot dishes, rice boxes, salads, wraps and soups. Its Soho branch occupies a prime spot on Old Compton Street. In the warmer months its windows open up on to the street and the many window seats are places to see and be seen. And it that's not enough, they know to make good coffee as well.
