Rosa's (Soho)

Just a few doors off the gay catwalk you'll find this second branch of the very good and not too pricey modern Thai enterprise Rosa's, whose mothership is located in the interesting but increasingly trendy East London area Spitalifields, at 12 Hanbury St. E1. This first Soho outlet, opened in 2010, is friendly, cosy and cute, with flavourful soups and curries of a noticeably better-than-average standard, but it's necessarily the kind of place for a lingering visit; more like fast food in slow motion. And it tends to get very noisy, whether on the ground floor or in the basement space. By 2013 prices had crept up out of the budget range and into a slightly more challenging category. In 2018 the menu incorporated some of the items on offer in the brief Rosa's veggie pop-up. A second Soho branch opened at 23a Ganton St, just off Carnaby St. Plus Covent Garden/Seven Dials, Warren Street, Kings Cross, Islington, Chelsea, Angel, Victoria, Tower Bridge, Waterloo, Brixton, Baker Street and beyond.
