What we say
Vegetarian haven
An institution since the 1970s, Food for Though serves generous, filling portions of creative (and occasionally misguided) veggie dishes, with a daily changing menu of hearty soups, salads, ethnically diverse main dishes and plump desserts. Not the most comfortable of places — chairs are a bit earthy-crunchy — but there's compensation in the quality (and price) of the food, which is nearly always at least very good. A four-minute walk from Soho and surrounded by Covent Garden clothing emporia.
