Racine (Closed Permanently)

No ratings yet
Unusually good French bistro
Racine is named after the French word for root, not the 17th-century dramatist. Chef Henry Harris is committed to all things Gallic, and offeres simple, exquisite and unapologetically French dishes in a sleek room that's a short walk from Harrods, the V&A and the Natural History Museum. Set lunches constitute a certain bargain. Opened 2004. Closed in 2015, with Harris putting the decline in business down to the increase in vacant foreign-owned Knightsbridge dwellings and fewer dining locals and regulars. Harris plans to relocate.
