Lobster chowder. Lobster roll. Bisket roll.
A small Soho seafood hotspot that smacks of quality, whether in its yummy and attractive lobster roll (on toasted/buttered brioche, with choice of three toppings) or its super tasty, chunky and generous lobster chowder. Not at all cheap, but not super-pricey either, and the deliciousness might make you forget. Started in 2014 in Mayfair as Smack Deli, which then closed, relocating to Soho in 2015, but with a tweaked name. 'Smack' was the name of the boat used for lobster catching (and it alludes to the addictive nature of enthusiasm for lobster). Linked to the small chain Burger & Lobster, but this might be the better deal overall. Located a few seconds south of Old Compton St.
