Sirena's (at Southbank House) (Closed Permanently)

An Italian in Vauxhall
Known for its good and traditional Italian cooking, mostly from southern recipes reflecting the origins of its trio of partners, this unpretentious, inexpensive and welcoming restaurant opened 1991 in the basement of a Vauxhall office block, long before the area went gay in a big way. The selection of soups, pastas and pizza is nothing out of the ordinary, but it's alll home-made and fresh and tasty. And a full English breakfast is available from 8am. Located a five-minute walk east of Vauxhall tube station, just seconds south of Albert Embankment. Sadly closed August 2016.
