The Albert Kennedy Trust

No ratings yet
Sheltering the vulnerable
A worthy and excellent support system for LGBT 16–25-year-olds who are made homeless or living in a hostile environment, started in 1989 in Manchester by foster carer Cath Hall in response to a growing number of ostracised and rejected LGBT youth during a period in which people were coming out at a younger age than ever before. The organisation is named after the 16-year-old Mancunian who in 1989 fell to his death while being chased. The trust also has offices in Manchester and Newcastle.
