Ultra bargain, nearly ultra central

A no-frills but clean and functional-plus 2010 hotel that marked the first British outpost for a Malaysian-based chain that has also broken ground in Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines. The design is basic but decent, there's no bar or restaurant and 12 of the 79 doubles have no windows. Prices are subject to demand but very much on the cheap side.
