Crowne Plaza London, Docklands

The City of London (London's equivalent of Wall St.) has been expanding east for decades. Docklands features Canary Wharf, the ExCel Exhibition Centre, the concert hall 02 Arenal, and this hotel, which overlooks Royal Victoria Dock and has some splendid views. The area is quiet at night and kinda sits in the middle of nowhere, but the Docklands Light Railway is nearby, as is the impressive, architecturally inclined Thames Barrier Park.
