We welcome you to explore the Centre and get a taste of everything the Barbican has to offer, from interactive art installations to dance, pop-up theatre to tours of the building – and it’s all free.
Across the afternoon our freestages offer performances from dancers, musicians, spoken word artists, DJs and more. You can discover the Barbican artists of tomorrow with showcases from the young performers we work with in east London. For those with kids, the fun starts early, with a special OpenFest edition of Framed Film Club at 10am and continuing with our family trail round the Centre.
We also invite you to get involved and cultivate your own creativity: throughout the day, you can drop in for workshop sessions on dance, designer crafts, and even urban-growing on our Lakeside.
At the end of the day, book for one of our evening shows from Michael Clark Company or an immersive circus performance The Machine - with discounted tickets available to young people aged 14-25 through our Young Barbican scheme.
Full details will be released by the end of the summer, but save the date and sign up for updates on the Barbican website.
