A new queer club and performance night launches July 29th at Dalston Superstore with our first session.
Batty Mama is a down and dirty, open and enticing dystopic space for queer and trans bodies from all constellations and cultural backgrounds, reclaiming booties of colour. The first night themed cosmic blaxploitation boudoir will feature DJs spinning old skool 90's r'n'b and hip hop, garage, afrobeats, bashment and funky house. Batty buddies will be onsite if hugs, reassurance, support, or consenting danceoffs are required. There will also be surprise live performances happening both on and off of the dance floor, immersing the audience in the world of Batty Mama.

ACCESSIBILITY: Dalston Superstore’s top floor will be accessible by ramp for wheelchair use and there is a gender neutral upstairs toilet available, however the toilet is currently not wheelchair accessible. We are gathering information on the nearest accessible toilet at the moment.
Batty Mama believes that all venues should be accessible, but we also believe in supporting and challenging inaccessible spaces to change rather than boycotting queer spaces which are often already under financial and ideological pressure from mainstream capitalist structures.'
Batty Mama is created by Ama Josephine Budge (HYSTERIA) and Hakeem Kazeem (Collapse the Closet).”
