LATE NIGHT LIBRARY CLUB PRESENTS…
The Picture of Dorian Gray, by Oscar Wilde
7PM - 1.45AM
Welcome to your club, book lovers. From the team behind the respectfully raucous The Amy Grimehouse events, Late Night Library Club have their pens poised to inject a bit of ‘literati’ into the East London ‘glitterati’ club scene.
The second edition of Late Night Library Club celebrates all things Wilde with The Picture of Dorian Gray
Hosted by that transdrogynous dandy La JohnJoseph, there are decadent treats in store, including performance presented by Ben Borowiecki; a tantalising Q&A with our wonderful panel: Zorian Clayton, V&A Curator; Neil McKenna, author of The Secret Life of Oscar Wilde; and Dr Helen Davies, brainbox on Victorian and queer literature at Teeside Uni. You can also study perfume like Dorian with the olfactory genius Odette Toilette, author of 'Perfume, A Century of Scents'. Get your portrait taken for The Attic with Basil Hallward studios. Embrace your inner libertine and contribute to The Yellow Zine, our illustrated quarterly* devoted to Aestheticism and Decadence.
And of course, a chance to escape and let go at the Deplorable Disco.
