Spark the fire! Stop the clocks! New York’s renowned, revered performance collective PUSSY FAGGOT is touching down in EAST LONDON TOWN!
This time on the queer cavalry front line:
PENNY ARCADE! DAVID HOYLE! JONNY WOO! JOHN SIZZLE! BOURGEOIS & MAURICE! RACHEL MASON! NEEDLES JONES! VIVA DECONCINI! GREG POTTER! BILLY LLOYD! and A MAN TO PET!
This is what we call a Very Good Friday...
In their most epiphanous and epochal piece of programming yet, THE GLORY are elated to stage this one-night mini-festival of radical and political performances, showcasing London’s finest alongside New York’s sublimest.
Curated by Earl Dax, the evening promises to be a ratchet of show-stopping gob-smacking live art that encompasses cabaret / comedy / film / art and music. It's an NYC QUEER PERFORMANCE HAPPENING, man!
TICKETS (get get get) ...
http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/event/169055
One £12.50 ticket includes all shows and performances on two floors and entry to the basement disco until 3am.
(Entry to The Glory after the performances are over at 10.30pm will be £5 on the door, so others are welcome to join for a dance!)
Meet Your Makers:
~ PENNY ARCADE ~
Run kids – it’s an arcade fire! More atomic than Debbie Harry, and like a nuclear Madonna. It’s the femme crème of the New York underground scene – PENNY ARCADE! Dubbed before as “the female David Hoyle”, this BITCH DYKE FAG HAG WHORE is worth every penny.
~ DAVID HOYLE ~
Stepping off his Vauxhall dais, the deadly David Hoyle will make his symbolic debut at The Glory, but are the double doors big enough for all of his ideas? Beautiful, disgusting and unforgettable. We cannot wait to unleash the mental lashings and poisonous eyelashes of divine Uncle David.
~ BOURGEOIS & MAURICE ~
Kicking the night off in The Glory’s gutter, this outrageously talented song-writing duo are on a fast-track to stardom with their neat roster of cult hits like “Social Media Makes Me Feel Shit Sometimes”, “Ritalin” and “Don’t Google Me Mother”. Sipping a G&T while watching some B&M is one of the best experiences London has to offer.
~ RACHEL MASON ~
Patti Smith meets Cindy Sherman in the prominent sculptor, queer film-maker and musician Rachel Mason. The artist has exhibited in some of the world’s biggest galleries, but tonight The Glory is her canvas. Performing with Philadelphian “drag pariah” Needles Jones, electronic composer Billy Lloyd and songwriter Gregg Potter – we’ve no idea what to expect!
Special London Guest: A MAN TO PET (when she isn’t wrestling snakes in drag or dancing on the bar to a butt-plugging beat, she’s drowning in her own fake tits on the floor)
~ DISCO UNTIL 3AM! ~
Parisian DJ Pepi Della Fresca joins Glory in-house favourites for a smudged-up PUSSY FAGGOT disco mâché, icono-sashay. A filthy funked-up palette of hardcore galore.
