'CHEM-SEX Danger in our bedrooms, our lives our communities' - a panel discussion at the RVT’
How is our community to address this? Come join our lively debate with our panel.
Peter Steven Wilson: "I'm worried recent trends in drug abuse are signs of a collective unhappiness"
Mark Ford: "Education is a waste of resources. Infiltration is the way to change minds and save lives"
David Regan Mr Eagle 2013: “Antidote was a key organisation that assisted me in stopping drugs & alcohol”
Alex Palumbo: “Mephedrone – Euphoria, Tick. Jaw clenching, Tick. Impotence, Tick. Urge to re-dose, Tick. Paranoia, Tick.”
David Stuart: “When did you last have sober sex?”
DJ Fat Tony: “For me, moderation was never an option. I’m an ex addict. Somebody like me doesn’t have a stop button.”
HOST & CHAIR: Maria Kinsella ‘Club Wotever World'
THIS WILL NOT BE YET ANOTHER Q&A! – We intend to move on from the usual Q&A which has recently had plenty of public exposure, so:
The point of the event is to raise awareness, incite some self-care/activism from within the community itself; and to stir debate. Very few people on the panel work in the field; they are there to stimulate discussion, and (bravely!) share their opinions. We're hoping the audience will provide new ideas for a response to the problem. In this way, it is an audience-led discussion; if the audience want to discuss the issues, we will; if they want to discuss solutions, let them suggest some. The solutions come FROM discussing the issues; they are not separate.
