2nd March 2013 / 10.30pm - 6am / £5 before midnight, £8 thereafter.
Following a well earned break after our poptastic New Years special, the SONGS OF PRAISE team are back and guess what…WE’RE GOING MONTHLY!
Due to popular demand our March event will mark the start of SONGS being a monthly fixture at East London’s favourite disco dungeon, East Bloc, and what better way to celebrate than by hosting the GIRLS ALOUD TEN TOUR AFTER PARTY…UNOFFICIAL (OBVS).
In the Altar room, resident DJs THE SUGALOW BOYS, DAVID OH and NEIL PRINCE will be revving your Love Machine with a pure pop mix of classic tunes, hot new tracks and some of the biggest girl band hits in history…you might even hear Something New.
For those that like their dancing a little darker, artist SEB PATANE aka SEB PT of NERD and KENSINGTON notoriety, will be taking over the Chapel Bar with his trademark mix of new wave, electro and house…get ready for the Sound of the Underground.
Joining SEB on the decks are our favourite “niñas permitido”, ALPACA SOUNDSYSTEM, who come all the way from Spain (via Oval and Hackney).
Our Pop Confessional gets Sexy! (No, No, No) with FASCINATION RECORDS DJ (ADAM KLEIN) who’ll be playing Girls Aloud ALL NIGHT, including some exclusive surprises.
Fascination DJs live and breathe pop music. Fascination Management is the offshoot of Fascination Records (Polydor UK's pop-focused imprint), home past and present to Girls Aloud, The Saturdays, Goldfrapp, writing/production/remix outfit The Alias, Cheryl Cole, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Alphabeat and Miley Cyrus amongst others.
Plus, former POPJUSTICE News Editor MIKEY 'CYRUS' ROBINSON makes his DJ debut. This card-carrying, carpet-matching member of Team Ginge’ has made a 'career' out of chancing his arm and twisting other people's and has interviewed Nicola Roberts sat on a bus and Robyn sat on a toilet - get ready for The Show kids.
With FREE SHOTS, EXCLUSIVE GIRLS ALOUD GIVEAWAYS and CHEAP ENTRY before midnight, SONGS OF PRAISE: SOMETHING KINDA OOOOH will make you Jump!
