Covent Garden Health Spa Formerly: Saunabar / The Stable

(35 Ratings)
Centrally situated bar-cum-sauna

Clean and intimate sauna located a stone's throw from Soho in pleasant Covent Garden, just around the corner from recommended gelato outlet Scoop. Featuring a licensed bar, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, rest areas, video lounge, lounge area and sexually motivated males. Opened 1985. In January 2015 the owner changed the name from Saunabar to the Stable, then in early 2019 to Covent Garden Health Spa. Jamie HP [seen entry] stages regular events here, including TFN on Saturdays nights. Refurbished early autumn 2017.

It’s small but I guess it serves its purpose. The Staff is incredibly rude. I won’t be coming back.

I came here not looking for anything, I thought the spa was nice enough compared to some of what I read I did expect much. On arrival there was a English guy on reception was friendly and joking with customers (myself included) they must have change shift as when I left there was a Brazilian guy there on reception. Again he was nice enough and friendly asking me if I had a good time etc. Really not sure where this comment of the sauna has the rudest staff, rudest compared to what? What I did notice was a guy running around trying to clean and some of the other customers are just not thoughtful of his efforts. I must applaud the guys that work here as I’m sure they have all kinds of things to put up with. As mentioned by the other reviews I saw posters for their parties which looked rather interesting and I certainly will be attending one or two of them in the future. In all I found this a nice place to visit on a otherwise miserable winter day. I’d recommend it to my gay friends for sure.

yeah not good. i went for the Jamie HK TFN (naked night). i don't know who this Jamie HK guy thinks he is but he puts NO effort into this event. it was awful. the place is small and it stinks. the crowd wasn't good. and there was nothing special about it. it was just a regular bath house night so i'm not sure why they bill it as an 'event'. waste of money, waste of time.

Not great place...half empty even on Friday evening. Private booths a bit small and not clean

The Rudest Staff not worth the visit

If you like being in a place that has facilities that don't work is cold a Sauna that is never hot a steam room that has as much steam as a kettle and the RUDEST staff that you could ever come across then go for it. BUT then ... Why bother thinking about it when there are plenty of other places in town that have more charming staff and a much younger clientele!
