Green Carnation (Closed Permanently)

(9 Ratings)
A touch of Wilde
Soho's Oscar Wilde-inspired Green Carnation spreads its mock-Victorian seed across three floors, with plush furniture on which to relax while sipping drinkees and talking up a storm. A bit worn around the edges, and with wood-panelled rooms, ornate picture frames and Wildean quotes scrawled on the walls it's got a touch of the theme park about it. But rather nice too. Opened 2008. The bar is "closed until spring", though this wording continued into August 2015. Stop Press. Now closed for good.

Hidden Gem

So myself and some friends decided we wanted a chilled couple of drinks after a busy NYE. We kinda stumbled in to Green Carnation and then much later stumbled out. Such a cool bar and the staff were great...we got chatting to the guy behind the bar and before you knew it it was closing time. Definitely going again when back in London
