Soho Square (Closed Permanently) Formerly: The Edge

(29 Ratings)
Having the edge on Balans?
Four floors of food and cocktails, overlooking Soho Square on a corner on the north side, opened in 1993 as the Edge but reinvented (with a major refurbishment) 22 years later. In direct competition with gay daddy Balans, Soho Square has devoted both its neo-rustic ground floor and first floor to food — British fare with a Euro twist, in a relaxed and casual setting — and reserved its second floor for cocktails and other drinkees. Special events (and more cocktails) happen on the third floor, which is a great hanging out space perched above leafy Soho Square. Outdoor seating too. Opened 2 November 2015. Closed March 2016 following insubstantial trade. New chapter begins September 2016: Six Stories on Soho. But will it be gay?

Great place

The Edge is one of the largest bars in the area with four floors each containing its own individual theme. The great part about going to the Edge is that it is in a bar that fills up very quickly because it is so big. \nI like this place and even celebrated my birthday there which was quite good.

Cool place

Trendy venue on several floors and views over Soho square. Intimate atmosphere makes it good for couples.
