Ku ku ka choo
A casual and attractive hot spot with an image-aware, youngish and camp-friendly clientele, located one minute south of Soho, a minute north of Leicester Sq, and on the edge of Chinatown. Opened 2007. Popular, clubby-style, DJ-driven basement bar Ku Klub features a dance floor and opens from 10pm, with comedy nights fortnightly. Lesbian-dominant Tuesday nights (Ruby Tuesday, from 10pm in the basement) belong to the girls from She Soho (ex-Candy Bar). It's a 'three girl/one boy' minimum ratio, with males allowed in only if accompanied by the opposite sex. A sibling Ku branch with a more lounge sensibility, also called Ku Bar, opened in 2009 on 25 Frith St in Soho [see entry]. Pronounced 'kew', not 'koo'. . Official site:http://www.ku-bar.co.uk
