Candy Bar (Closed Permanently)

(16 Ratings)
Girls' night out at London's oldest lesbian bar
Female bartenders and DJs rule the roost at the city's top lesbian venue, established in 1996. Features upstairs pool-playing, basement dancing and the occasional pole dancer. Located near Soho Square and around the corner from girl-friendly casual bar The Star at Night. Stop Press: The growing Ku Bar empire [see entry] took over Candy Bar in January 2011. Tue nights (Candy Boys) are men-only (with women allowed as their guests) while Ku Bar's Lisle St location becomes women-only (with men as guests). Candy Bar co-founders Kim and Eliza left in 2008. Closed 2014, replaced in a way by She Bar [see entry].
